General Auditions
Theatre Projects Manitoba periodically holds General Auditions for local actors whose work might not be familiar to the Artistic Director. General Audition calls will be posted on our website and social channels – stay tuned!
Script Submissions
Theatre Projects Manitoba accepts play submissions throughout the year. Scripts may be sent as PDFs to [email protected]
Who can send us a script:
TPM is currently only accepting submissions from Canadian playwrights.
We will read full scripts and respond to playwrights we are familiar with or whose work comes recommended by another theatre, a play development centre or a professional theatre artist such as a director or dramaturg.
If you are a Manitoba playwright who does not meet the above criteria, you can send us the first 15 pages of your script, along with a synopsis, and a letter outlining the development history of the play. We will be in touch with you only if we want to request the full script.
Please include the following in your submission:
- Your script
- Information about the development or production history of your play
- A cast breakdown
- Your e-mail address, phone number, and full mailing address.
- Please e-mail scripts only in PDF format.
- If you prefer to mail a hardcopy, please send to:
Theatre Projects Manitoba
300-245 McDermot Avenue
Winnipeg, MB R3B 0S6
How we respond:
We will send you a brief e-mail indicating that we have received your submission. Once we have read your script, we will let you know via e-mail or letter if we are interested in developing or producing it. We do not provide dramaturgical feedback. We ask for your patience in receiving a response from us – this process may take up to 12 months.
Artistic Development Opportunities
Over the years Theatre Projects Manitoba has provided learning opportunities for artists as interns and assistant directors or designers at various stages in their professional development. These opportunities are ever changing so if you wish to apprentice or assist in a design department or assistant direct at TPM, please send a cover letter outlining your skills and experience and a brief proposal for your intended artistic involvement. Expressions of interest can be sent to [email protected]
