Call for Climate & Main

Theatre Projects Manitoba will present Climate & Main running March 4th to 6th 2022 during The Bridge: A Festival of Ideas – RMTC’s festival exploring the climate crisis. TPM will commission the creation of three short theatrical works from Manitoba theatre artists. Creation must take place in January and February 2022!

Do you believe that our planet is on the edge of destruction?

Can we help move you to write about it?

Move you to write a play about it that speaks to others?

How do you see the world in the next twenty years? Are you a Twelve Monkeys/Terminator type? Or do your end days have more of a Quiet Earth vibe? Or do you envision a renewal where we come out the other side?

Art prompts action. We can accelerate change which seems so slow in coming. Those who set and drive policy are moving at a snail’s pace when it comes to enacting any of the necessary and difficult strategies needed to halt the steady warming of our small and precarious home world.

Do you want to be part of the change?

Will your words make the difference?

You won’t know, if you don’t try.

We invite you to submit your resume/CV plus a three line “elevator pitch” to Michelle Boulet – Artistic Projects Coordinator
