SUMMARY:End of the Line (CLOSING PERFORMANCE)
DESCRIPTION:A Co-Production with Walk&Talk Theatre Company\n  \nEnd of the Line is a new musical that tells the story of Heart City – a coastal community destroyed in an instant as a dam breaks and a river crashes through countless lives on its way to rejoin the sea. This show pulls on all the right heartstrings and plays them to create earworms that will get stuck in your head. This is everything you want in theatre: laughs\, good music\, and a loveable-but-gross pool salesman.” \n-Tanner Manson\, Artistic Producer – Walk&Talk Theatre Company \n  \nPLEASE NOTE: Sales will “close” at 12:00pm of this day\, but tickets may still be purchased at the door as long as the performance isn’t sold out.\nWARNING: Use of haze\, fog\, strobe / flashing lights in the show.

This apocalyptic fable follows a trio of aging ex-vaudevillians who are inextricably tied together even as they goad each other to the brink.    A play about garbage\, longing\, Niagara Falls\, and our inescapable interconnectedness–for better and worse.  It’s the end of the world seen through the incomparable imaginative lens of one of Winnipeg’s finest playwrights.  \nFeaturing a stellar team of local artists\, Alissa Watson (The Paper Bag Princess – PTE\, founding member of The Red Nose Diaries and The Talentless Lumps)\, directs Monique Marcker (Albertine in Five Times\, The Elmwood Visitation\, North Main Gothic)\, Simon Miron (A Winter’s Tale – SIR\, Orlando – RMTC\, Artistic Director of the Village Conservatory)\, and Jane Testar (Winter’s Tale – SIR\, founding member of Outside Joke\, and Hot Thespian Action) with Assistant Director Carol-Ann Bohrn\, and designers Joyce Licup\, Brenda McLean\, Ksenia Broda-Milian\, and Emma Hendrix. Dramaturgical Support: Ryan Griffith\, Don Hannah and Sharon King-Campbell. Original graphics & poster design by Danielle Friesen. \n  \nA More Relaxed Performance at TPM…  \n  \nRelaxed Performances are open to everyone and intended specifically to be sensitive to and welcoming of anyone who may find the usual theatre environment challenging or inaccessible\, including people who are sensitive to loud noises or bright lights\, have babes in arms\, may have difficulty sitting through a 90-minute performance\, may need to take a break from more intense moments\, and those who use technological aids take in a live performance.  \nEveryone’s needs are different so we are intentionally calling this a More Relaxed Performance\, acknowledging there are aspects of the show that are integral to the story-telling that will likely still be intense for some audience members.  \n  \nWhat You Can Expect  \nIn a More Relaxed Performance\, we take\, well… a more relaxed approach to theatre etiquette to create a more welcoming atmosphere  \nThe house lights will remain on low throughout the performance to allow folks to come and go if they need to use the washroom\, need to take a break in a quiet lobby\, or just need to move or stretch. We ask all people to be aware of other people’s need to move or make involuntary noise or use technological aides during the performance.  \nAudience members will be free to…  \n\nLeave the theatre as needed during the performance \n\n\nFreely use any technological aids they require in order to experience the performance \nBring babes in arms \nSit in the lobby for as long as they need \n\nWe have also made some adjustments to the show itself to relax the most intense aspect of the design.  \nFor the More Relaxed Performance we will…  \n\nRemove strobes and flashing lightning effects \nReduce volume on loud or sudden audio cues \nHouselights will remain on at a low level throughout the show \n\nNone of This Is Happening deals with big themes\, big emotions and big events.  Even in the More Relaxed Performance you can expect:  \n\nExtreme human emotional and physical responses including shouting\, stomping\, and verbal fights \n\n\nObjects breaking and being dropped onstage \nBright lighting cues \nActors will occasionally enter from the audience entrance doors near the front row \nTheatrical haze (made with water vapor) \nDepictions of catastrophic weather events  \nSimulated smoking of cigars (made with water vapor) \nSimulated smoke emanating from one of the actors (made with water vapor) \n\n\nSounds of thunder  \nSounds of static/noise \n\n  \nStill have questions?  \nIf you are wondering whether this show will be a good environment for your specific sensitivities or access needs or have any further questions about the content\, please contact us at theatrep@theatreprojectsmanitoba.ca or 204-989-2400.   \nWe are happy to answer any questions and offer specifics about what you can expect from arrival at the theatre to your departure so you can plan accordingly. And if there is anything we can do to make it easier for you to attend TPM in the future we’d love to discuss it!  \n  \nPay What You Desire \nWe know that finances can be a barrier to accessing live theatre and are offering two Pay What You Desire performances for None of This is Happening (Friday November 11th\, 7:30PM and Sunday November 13th\, 2PM) \nPlease use one of the following coupon codes once your ticket is in your shopping cart to discount some or all of the ticket price. \n25OFF – 25% discount \n50OFF – 50% discount \n75OFF – 75% discount \n100OFF – 100% discount \n  \nWe will not require proof of vaccination nor require you wear a mask\, though both practices are strongly recommended.
