My Trail Up Number Six by Ian Ross
This audio project brings to life stories along Manitoba’s Number Six Highway. A road that Ian Ross has travelled his whole life while living in Pinaymootang First Nation or visiting relatives along the east side of Lake Manitoba. Local businesses, places of interest, and personal stories are highlighted in this audio adventure which can be listened to at home or can accompany a Highway Six Road trip. This podcast style journey will be available wherever you get your podcasts, and on the TPM website.

Ian Ross was born in McCreary, Manitoba. He calls the First Nation of Pinaymootang, the Métis community of Kinosota and the city of Winnipeg, home. His play, fareWel, won the Governor General’s Award for English Drama in 1997. His commentaries as Joe from Winnipeg on CBC radio and television, as well as NCI, were very popular. Ian has also been a drama instructor and educator for several years. He continues to write and live in Winnipeg.
